No new is good news

Nothing new and exciting to report on. Since its been over a week I thought I should post something. I wish I had my camera because posting is so much more fun with pictures, but since I don't I will just do a quick fyi! This weekend Chris is going on a fishing trip and I will be heading to my mom and dad's with my sister for a much needed escape! I love going to my parents house because I can just relax and forget about work and any other stressful thing that is going on. My parents live in the middle of no where pretty much so it is so quite and such a nice break from the city! So needless to say I am so happy this week is over and I can have a break.

I was awarded the Superior Service Award today at work. That is pretty neat to me! It basically tells me that I am recongnized for the work I am doing and it also tells me that I am doing a good job. This is the 3rd time I have recieved this award since working here. It is really great! I am looking forward to next weekend because Friday is my birthday and then Saturday my mom and sisters will be here to go shopping! I can't believe it is the end of October already! Where has this year gone!

DisneyLand will wait...

Well we have decided not to travel to the happiest place on earth.... I have mixed emotions about not going... I am really sad because I have NEVER been there so it was going to be so fun. I really love the people we had planned to go with and being with them would have made anything more fun. The break from work would have been really nice. But looking at the silver lining Disneyland is not going anywhere so I am sure I will make it there one day! I will now get exactly what I wanted for my birthday, A full day of hanging out with my hubby going to see Jackass 3D "I am so excited" and going to lunch and maybe some shopping. Then a full day of shopping with my mom and sisters! I look forward to this day all year every year! We have been doing this since I was 14! We head to provo and spend all day shopping and going where ever we want! this of course includes a yummy lunch and this year I am thinking sangeria will also be on the menu because we are all FINALLY of age! This time of year is so perfect for shopping! the weather is just starting to turn cold so you shop for cute sweaters and warm shirts and of course a new pair of boots! On an even better note we have planned a cruise with my cousin and her hubby in January! We are going to cruise down to Mexico! I am so excited to go to warm weather in the middle of our winter and also to go with another couple! they have never been anywhere! they have been married for 10 years and have 3 adorable girls but have never left them for any kind of vacation! ! ! it is going to be so fun to be with them on their first vacation with no kiddies! ! Can't wait! ! ! ! ! !

Happy Anniversary!

Chris and I celebrated our 1st anniversary on Sunday Sept 26! I can't believe how fast this last year went! I am so happy to be married to my husband and can't wait for many more anniversarys! This year was pretty low key. We celebrated our anniversay on Friday because we had planned to go boating one last time on Sunday before the weather turns cold. So on Friday we went to lunch at the cheesecake factory. Since this place came to Utah I have wanted to go and try it out so I was really excited to finally be going. We got there and the tables are so close to each other that I felt like we were having lunch with another couple as well. Then we ordered our food, which was 16.00 dollars a plate, I ordered the Chicken Mandiera or somthing like that, suppose to be one of their best chicken dishes... I was not impressed... for the price I wanted it to be made of gold or something. Maybe I am just cheap but it wasn't that great for being that expensive. Chris' dish was alot better than mine. By the end of lunch we were both so full we didn't even get cheesecake. Then it was off to the movies! We went to see Wallstreet, money never sleeps. It looked really good and because it was all about money I knew Chris would love it.... It was good, not great but wasn't a total waste either. I wanted it to be more suspenseful. The day was fun and it was nice to spend sometime with just me and my hubby! I can't wait to have many more anniversarys together! What's next to look forward to...... DISNEYLAND in October! ! I can't wait! ! !

Lake Mead 2010

Lake Mead has been a tradition for Chris' family since forever! This year we were very excited for the vacation and looked forward to it for so long! Chris' cousins Jen and Mady from Idaho came with us this year. We decided to camp this year rather than stay in a hotel because we have had so much fun camping and plus we wanted to take our dogs. The trip started out a little rough, the wind was awful, the check engine light on the truck came on, then in Cedar City Chris' dad called and told us we needed to pull over because the truck was putting out white smoke! so we pulled over and there was a huge fuel leak and gas was spilling out everywhere! we had to un-hitch the trailer and the boat and leave them on the side of the freeway, we had to have the truck towed because we didn't want it to blow up.. you don't mess with fuel leaks... so after 2 hours on the side of the road and a quick twist to tighten a hose we were on our way again... we finally made it to lake mead! we had such a blast but the days went by way too fast! the weather was perfect and our campspot was perfect! it was alot of fun and I can't wait till next year! I even faced my fears this year and made myself get on the knee board! it was so much fun and so scary but I didn't downed and I can't wait to go boating again to try it some more! Sad to say that may have been our last boat ride for the year... stupid winter! !! The next thing to look forward to is our FIRST anniversay! I can't believe it has already been a year!

What a good husband!

I don't say it as often as I should but I have a really amazing husband. He does so many things to make me happy and always trys to give me what I want. About 3 to 6 months ago we were shopping at Costco and I found this head board that I fell in love with! This head board was what really made me change the paint in our bedroom. So we decided not to get the head board till after the room was painted and we had made sure the colors would match... but sad to say after the room was done the head board was gone... I was really bummed and the room just didn't look complete. Everytime we went to costco I would look for the head board and it was never there, Chris even called his family in Bountiful and had them check that costco and it wasn't there either... so I had pretty much given up hope on the headboard. it was a huge bummer! So last night Chris stopped at Costco on his way home for some groceries and when he came home guess what was in the back of his truck..... MY HEADBOARD!!!!!! I was so excited and so happy it was about 8:30 and I insisted that we put it up before making dinner! I really love the look of the headboard but..... it is a little different color than my bedding so I don't know if it looks as good as I wanted... now it makes me want new bedding.. I know I know... I am never happy. what do you think... better before or after? would a different color of bedding look better??

Tim McGraw

Can I just start with YUMMY! Tim McGraw has been around for along time and he is soooo HOTT!! The concert started at 7 and at about 3 or 4 Chris got a call from his brother in law, Eric and he said that we could have his tickets as long as we picked them up by a certain time. so we scored 2 tickets to this concert! our seats were so close! I forgot my camera because I was so excited to just be going i wasn't thinkin about anything else! These pictures were taken with Chris' iphone and it didn't focus very well after the sun went down.. we were so close to the stage and I swear Tim kept looking at me all night! it was like he was singing right to me! Even Chris said he looked right at me! lol I have been a fan of Tim McGraw since I can remember! I remember listening to his songs on tape! Chris' sister and her sister in-law Jen also went and their seats were even closer! so we creeped down to their seats when the security guy wasn't looking... there seats were at the end of the stage and i was so close i could almost touch him! It was such a fun concert and the best part was the tickets were FREE! So we got seats that usually sale for 72.50 for free! and to make it even better Chris even drove so I took advantage of that! Too bad Usana only has coors... something i delt with very well....
