Christmas!

It's almost here! I can't believe it came so fast! This year for Christmas it is Chris' year to decide what we are going to be doing. He told me that he just wants to stay home, so I figured this would be the perfect time to start some of our own family traditions... we have a little family with our 2 dogs and MAYBE one day we will add to the family.. MAYBE. So because we will be staying in SL this year and not going to see my parents they are coming to us...

We are going to be doing a Christmas brunch at our house on Sunday! I can't wait to see everyone and open presents! it is going to be great!
Poor Chris is getting his last 2 wisdom teeth out on Friday so hopefully he will be feeling a little better by Sunday and be able to eat some yummy food with everyone.

I started my new job this week and it has been a long week! Monday was horrible! I felt like I spent most of my day reading and trying to remember how to do things! I switched to dental back in October and have been doing nothing but dental since then... now I am back doing medical and it has been a real challenge trying to remember everything... hopefully it will start to get easier.. I am looking forward to the weekend and then a 3 day work week next week... there is so much to look forward to in the next bit and the biggest thing is our cruise to MEXICO! It is coming so fast and I really need to start getting ready for it. We will be leaving for Cali on January 21, we will spend the day there and then board ship on Saturday morning. We will sail down to Mexico for 8 days and return back to Cali on January 29, then we will fly home and back to work on Monday! going to be pretty crazy and so fun! I can't wait!

Thankful

Since the thankful month is almost over I wanted to post what I am thankful for.

Family: they are ALWAYS there for you and they love you no matter what.

Friends: Thanks to all my friends that let me vent, listen to me complain, make me laugh, look on the bright side and make the days at work so much shorter. Thanks for letting me tell you everything that happens in my life good and bad!

Husband: He is there is take care of me, listen to my frustrations, cuddle with me, have lazy days, take me on vacations, save me from driving on snowy days and just be there for me to lean on. He makes me happier than I ever thought possible.

4-wheel drive: living in Utah I am so happy that we have a 4wheel drive truck, the past couple of weeks have made me realize how lucky we are to have a truck.

Heat: heat in the cars and house

House: so thankful we have a house it may not be the newest or biggest but it is ours and I am so thankful for it

Dogs: what would my life be like with out my 2 kids... they entertain us, make us laugh, make us mad, and are always happy to see us.

Jobs:I am so thankful that both Chris and I have great jobs! I just got a new job within my company and can't wait to take on more work and more money! I am thankful to have a job that is so flexible that on snowy mornings I have the option to ride with my hubby in the 4wheel drive and come to work an hour later than normal.

I am sure there are more things that I am thankful for but those are on my mind right now.

2 Months! !

Fun Times!

Over the last couple weeks we have had alot of fun. I went shopping with my mom and sisters and found some killer deals on all kinds of clothes! We went to a Jazz game and had some pretty amazing seats "thanks Eric", we went to a halloween party and had such a blast! The cold weather is here offically and I HATE it! I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas and then off to Mexico to warm weather! I seriously don't think I have ever been so excited to take a break from everything and hang out with my cousin and our husbands! I am really excited to go with another couple because we have done the me and Chris thing 2 times now and it will be fun to have other people to hang out with...

the Jazz are doing really good so far this season! sometimes it gets frustrating but then they pull together and are able to beat some of the best teams in the leage or so some people say, like last night we were able to beat the "over -rated" Miami Heat! It was such a fun game and I am so happy we won! !

No new is good news

Nothing new and exciting to report on. Since its been over a week I thought I should post something. I wish I had my camera because posting is so much more fun with pictures, but since I don't I will just do a quick fyi! This weekend Chris is going on a fishing trip and I will be heading to my mom and dad's with my sister for a much needed escape! I love going to my parents house because I can just relax and forget about work and any other stressful thing that is going on. My parents live in the middle of no where pretty much so it is so quite and such a nice break from the city! So needless to say I am so happy this week is over and I can have a break.

I was awarded the Superior Service Award today at work. That is pretty neat to me! It basically tells me that I am recongnized for the work I am doing and it also tells me that I am doing a good job. This is the 3rd time I have recieved this award since working here. It is really great! I am looking forward to next weekend because Friday is my birthday and then Saturday my mom and sisters will be here to go shopping! I can't believe it is the end of October already! Where has this year gone!

DisneyLand will wait...

Well we have decided not to travel to the happiest place on earth.... I have mixed emotions about not going... I am really sad because I have NEVER been there so it was going to be so fun. I really love the people we had planned to go with and being with them would have made anything more fun. The break from work would have been really nice. But looking at the silver lining Disneyland is not going anywhere so I am sure I will make it there one day! I will now get exactly what I wanted for my birthday, A full day of hanging out with my hubby going to see Jackass 3D "I am so excited" and going to lunch and maybe some shopping. Then a full day of shopping with my mom and sisters! I look forward to this day all year every year! We have been doing this since I was 14! We head to provo and spend all day shopping and going where ever we want! this of course includes a yummy lunch and this year I am thinking sangeria will also be on the menu because we are all FINALLY of age! This time of year is so perfect for shopping! the weather is just starting to turn cold so you shop for cute sweaters and warm shirts and of course a new pair of boots! On an even better note we have planned a cruise with my cousin and her hubby in January! We are going to cruise down to Mexico! I am so excited to go to warm weather in the middle of our winter and also to go with another couple! they have never been anywhere! they have been married for 10 years and have 3 adorable girls but have never left them for any kind of vacation! ! ! it is going to be so fun to be with them on their first vacation with no kiddies! ! Can't wait! ! ! ! ! !

Happy Anniversary!

Chris and I celebrated our 1st anniversary on Sunday Sept 26! I can't believe how fast this last year went! I am so happy to be married to my husband and can't wait for many more anniversarys! This year was pretty low key. We celebrated our anniversay on Friday because we had planned to go boating one last time on Sunday before the weather turns cold. So on Friday we went to lunch at the cheesecake factory. Since this place came to Utah I have wanted to go and try it out so I was really excited to finally be going. We got there and the tables are so close to each other that I felt like we were having lunch with another couple as well. Then we ordered our food, which was 16.00 dollars a plate, I ordered the Chicken Mandiera or somthing like that, suppose to be one of their best chicken dishes... I was not impressed... for the price I wanted it to be made of gold or something. Maybe I am just cheap but it wasn't that great for being that expensive. Chris' dish was alot better than mine. By the end of lunch we were both so full we didn't even get cheesecake. Then it was off to the movies! We went to see Wallstreet, money never sleeps. It looked really good and because it was all about money I knew Chris would love it.... It was good, not great but wasn't a total waste either. I wanted it to be more suspenseful. The day was fun and it was nice to spend sometime with just me and my hubby! I can't wait to have many more anniversarys together! What's next to look forward to...... DISNEYLAND in October! ! I can't wait! ! !

Lake Mead 2010

Lake Mead has been a tradition for Chris' family since forever! This year we were very excited for the vacation and looked forward to it for so long! Chris' cousins Jen and Mady from Idaho came with us this year. We decided to camp this year rather than stay in a hotel because we have had so much fun camping and plus we wanted to take our dogs. The trip started out a little rough, the wind was awful, the check engine light on the truck came on, then in Cedar City Chris' dad called and told us we needed to pull over because the truck was putting out white smoke! so we pulled over and there was a huge fuel leak and gas was spilling out everywhere! we had to un-hitch the trailer and the boat and leave them on the side of the freeway, we had to have the truck towed because we didn't want it to blow up.. you don't mess with fuel leaks... so after 2 hours on the side of the road and a quick twist to tighten a hose we were on our way again... we finally made it to lake mead! we had such a blast but the days went by way too fast! the weather was perfect and our campspot was perfect! it was alot of fun and I can't wait till next year! I even faced my fears this year and made myself get on the knee board! it was so much fun and so scary but I didn't downed and I can't wait to go boating again to try it some more! Sad to say that may have been our last boat ride for the year... stupid winter! !! The next thing to look forward to is our FIRST anniversay! I can't believe it has already been a year!

What a good husband!

I don't say it as often as I should but I have a really amazing husband. He does so many things to make me happy and always trys to give me what I want. About 3 to 6 months ago we were shopping at Costco and I found this head board that I fell in love with! This head board was what really made me change the paint in our bedroom. So we decided not to get the head board till after the room was painted and we had made sure the colors would match... but sad to say after the room was done the head board was gone... I was really bummed and the room just didn't look complete. Everytime we went to costco I would look for the head board and it was never there, Chris even called his family in Bountiful and had them check that costco and it wasn't there either... so I had pretty much given up hope on the headboard. it was a huge bummer! So last night Chris stopped at Costco on his way home for some groceries and when he came home guess what was in the back of his truck..... MY HEADBOARD!!!!!! I was so excited and so happy it was about 8:30 and I insisted that we put it up before making dinner! I really love the look of the headboard but..... it is a little different color than my bedding so I don't know if it looks as good as I wanted... now it makes me want new bedding.. I know I know... I am never happy. what do you think... better before or after? would a different color of bedding look better??

Tim McGraw

Can I just start with YUMMY! Tim McGraw has been around for along time and he is soooo HOTT!! The concert started at 7 and at about 3 or 4 Chris got a call from his brother in law, Eric and he said that we could have his tickets as long as we picked them up by a certain time. so we scored 2 tickets to this concert! our seats were so close! I forgot my camera because I was so excited to just be going i wasn't thinkin about anything else! These pictures were taken with Chris' iphone and it didn't focus very well after the sun went down.. we were so close to the stage and I swear Tim kept looking at me all night! it was like he was singing right to me! Even Chris said he looked right at me! lol I have been a fan of Tim McGraw since I can remember! I remember listening to his songs on tape! Chris' sister and her sister in-law Jen also went and their seats were even closer! so we creeped down to their seats when the security guy wasn't looking... there seats were at the end of the stage and i was so close i could almost touch him! It was such a fun concert and the best part was the tickets were FREE! So we got seats that usually sale for 72.50 for free! and to make it even better Chris even drove so I took advantage of that! Too bad Usana only has coors... something i delt with very well....

Lake Yuba

Over the 24th of July Chris and I went to Lake Yuba for the weekend. We camped and boated and it was such a fun time. The weather was really nice this year and it was sooooo HOT! Thank goodness for A/C in the trailer! We took the dogs this trip and they both had such a fun time! They loved the beach and the boat and the heat! They played and played and then by the time it was time to go home they both slept the entire ride home! Chris has a new love for surfing, not only is he amazing at water skiing, wake boarding, knee boarding and tubeing, but he now loves to surf! I has such a fun time surfing and tried to teach my cousin Abe how to. Abe got up once and that was it. Chris has become a pro and can even surf while drinking a beer.... such a talented husband I have... I am so proud!

Flaming Gorge and the missing camera

Last weekend we took a mini vacation and headed to Flaming Gorge for 6 days. I was so excited to take tons of pictures and post them because it is so pretty up there! So we left on Thursday and with all the stops along the way didn't get there till about 8, so the sun is going down and we are trying to launch the boat and get the trailer set up and some how my camera became missing...... I was totally freaking out! I tried to not let it ruin the trip and we still had the video camera but in the back of my mind the whole trip all I could think about was what happened to it, where it fell out, and how upset my husband was going to be, since he just gave it to me for christmas! The weather could have been a little better while we were there but it was still a very fun and relaxing trip. The wind storms up there are so wild! On monday we woke up to so much wind it was hard to open our eyes because they would fill with dust so fast! so we decided to be brave and head out on the water hopeing to find a canyon or somewhere with no wind... we did find a little cove right in the heart of the canyon and it was amazing! the sun came out, there was no wind, Chris was even able to ski for the first time since Thursday! After spending most of the day in this little cove we decided to head back to camp thinking that maybe the wind had stopped. we got back and the wind was worse than in the morning! so we packed up and decided to head home 1 day early.... we got the boat out of the water and I went to get the covers out of the truck and guess what was under the covers .... MY CAMERA! I was so happy it wasn't lost, or broken and relieved to find it, but then i was so bummed that it was there the whole trip and I didn't get any pictures! Guess there is always next year! well the next thing to look forward to is our trip to Lake Yuba over the 24th weekend... i will make sure and take pictures there so I have something to post. it is so much funner to read and write post with pictures!

Jaxson's 2 Years Old!

I can't believe that my little nephew is already 2! He is getting big so fast! he looks like a little man instead of a baby! Camping was so fun this last weekend, but poor Jaxson was sick most of the weekend. He tried to put on a happy for his party but you can tell he didn't feel the best because of his rosy little cheeks! Grandma and Grandpa spoil this little man and got him a little fire truck that actually squrits water! So cute! Mom and Dad got Jaxson a 4-wheeling wagon that he loves and didn't want to get out once Daddy put him and and took him for a ride.

where to start

Hello again....do i remember how to blog! it, once again, has been awhile since my last blog. I haven't been posting because of a few different reasons... #1 I really perfer to blog when I can post pictures and I got a new camera and I can't figure out how to make the pictures stay on my computer! #2 my computer is soooo slow at home and so it takes about an hour to write 1 post #3, I decided that i am not the best writter in the world or speller for that matter ,so bare with me while i try...
We are getting ready for our annual trip to Flaming Gorge and I am looking forward to that, hopefully i can figure out my camera so i can post how amazing this place is... this will be my second trip to flaming gorge and it is so pretty up there! this weekend i am going camping with my family for Jaxson's birthday and it should be pretty fun.. hopefully i can take some pictures and post later...
