Thanks

I’m sitting here alone on thanksgiving night… my last post said how interesting this day would be and I’m happy to report everything is well. Thanksgiving was my year this year, a.k.a. the year we spend with my family. Well because of schedules and everything my family decided it would be best to plan our family thanksgiving dinner on the Saturday after thanksgiving. Well, because my husband is not a planner and every time I mention something further than 2 days away, he disregards, I never mentioned to him that thanksgiving this year would be celebrated with my family on Saturday. So one night about a week ago he plans a golf weekend…yes the weekend of my family’s thanksgiving dinner. There were SEVERAL talks about what is right and what would make everyone happy, what is the best thing to do. I messed up because I didn’t tell Husband the plans. He messed up because he made plans before checking to see if anything else was already planned. We went back and forth about what should be done, and when it came down to it, we made each other happy. I am happier to spend the weekend at my mom’s without worrying about how to keep him entertained… he is happier golfing… so I’m sure we made some people mad but we did what was best for us. I HATE fighting with Husband, I HATE trying to make him do things he doesn’t want to do, I HATE trying to please everyone, when really in the end… does it matter that much? There will be other holidays, there will be other years, and there will be other things that are more important.
I’m watching “P.S. I Love you” tonight and I must say, the first 20 minutes of this show makes me laugh! I can relate to this so much! Husband and I FIGHT and sometimes over the stupidest things… but after all is said and done… we are still WE, we are still TOGETHER, we are still a TEAM, and we are still PARTNERS. I know he will do ANYTHNG to make me happy, and I know I would do ANYTHING to make him happy and the most important thing is, I know even if we fight, we are in this FOREVER. I am so happy to sit here alone tonight, enjoying MY TIME. I thought this Thanksgiving was going to be such a wreck, but in the end, I know I have family that loves me and understands, I know that there will be MANY more years to do “my year, his year” but right now, we are doing “OUR” year. We were together on turkey day, but for the weekend, I am happy to spend it without him, and he is happy to spend it without me… absence makes the heart grown founder…… right??
I am THANKFUL, that I have a Husband that loves me, I am THANKFUL that I have THE MOST AMAZING FAMILY, I am THANKFUL I have a house to be alone in, I am THANKFUL that I am not alone in that house and that I have my kids, Brody and Tink. Maybe someday we can add to our family and I can be THANKFUL for so much more, but for right now, I LOVE that we can do what WE want to do without having anything to tie us down. I am THANKFUL that we are able to TRAVEL right now, I am THANKFUL that we have the money to travel and do the things WE want to do, I am THANKFUL that WE work HARD for that money and I am VERY THANKFUL that WE are SMART with our money and can manage and do the things we want to do!

STRESS

I love and HATE the holidays! Things were so much eaiser years ago before we added spouses and kids and work schedules and everything else! I hate that not everyone can make it and not everyone can prioritize to make it! I hate that I feel gulity and I ABSOLUTLY hate when everyone is not happy! Holidays are suppose to be happy! This year will be interesting to see what happens over Thanksgiving, I can't wait for it to be here and gone and then we will be off to HAWAII! I need a vaction really bad this year! I need to get away from stress! I hope that me and the husband can get away and have some alone time while in Hawaii but if not it will be okay too. We are heading down to Hawaii on Dec. 10th with Chris' dad, sister and her BF. I'm sure it is going to be a great time and I can't wait! Once we are back to reality we will be heading to my parents house for Christmas, at least that is the plan for now. I hope everything will work out for CHristmas because trying to plan and make everyone happy for 2 holidays might just be the death of me!

Happy Birthday!

So almost 3 months ago, Cory and I were shopping at Kohls and I found this picture that I fell in love with! It’s hard to explain but it is a picture of the ocean in black and white and would look really amazing on my blue wall in my bedroom. The picture was VERY expensive and I just couldn’t bring myself to spend that much. So I took a picture and sent it to husband told him the price and asked if it was worth it. Of course he said no. But after still thinking about it months later, I finally got a coupon for 30% off from Kohls. So this weekend I was going to go by it as my happy birthday to me! why not, Chris is after all ditching me on my birthday!
Well last night Chris got home from work and told me I should go get dinner. I had already changed in my PJ’s and really didn’t want to go anywhere but he insisted I go get Panda…. So off to panda I went. Their drive thru takes forever! ! ! I get home we have dinner and start a movie. My feet were cold so I run upstairs to grab socks, Chris paused the movie, “which was weird I was going to be really fast” but I flipped on my bedroom light and there my picture was…. All hung up and everything! ! !! I, of course scream with excitement and run back downstairs where he is just sitting smiling!
Its little surprises like that, that remind me that I do have a cute husband that I love so much… so even though he is ditching me on my birthday, he made up for it for getting me the best present! Plus he is going to buy me new shoes too… he doesn’t know that yetJ

this picture was taken with my phone so it isn't very clear and doesn't really show how cool the picture is.

Happy 2 Years!

Better late than never; we officially made it to the 2 year mark. I've heard it is easier here on out....guess we will wait and see. This year was much better than our lame anniversary last year, but I was worried it was going to be a repeat of last year. For months I had asked Chris what he wanted to do for our anniversary. I told him that I really wanted this year to be special. 2 years is a long time and many people don't even make it that long. so for months I told Chris ideas of things we could do, of ideas I had, and for months all he would say is, "I don’t care what we do" it was getting extremely frustrating. Every day after work I would tell him about good deals on KSL or discounts I can get through work and everyday was the same ol thing... I don't care. I would text him during the day and say I'm going to book this or schedule that and he wouldn't ever give me the go ahead... he always said, no that doesn't sound fun or let’s see what else there is to do. So finally one day after a very frustrating day at work I asked him if he wanted to go to Oktoberfest or snowbird or anywhere... again, he didn't care... I blurted out; well maybe I will just go on our anniversary alone!! This is the part where I say...open mouth insert feet! Yes feet...I felt soooo bad when he responded and said.... I have already booked the homestead, we are leaving Sunday...so needless to say, I felt like the biggest brat and the most ungrateful wife in the world! I am a planner! Always have been and probably always will be... I HATE surprises and really hate when people don't have a plan! So my cute husband was just trying to get me to loosen up and be surprised and not have a plan for once.
So after I apologized a million times and told him that trying to surprise me just isn't a good idea, we were off for our night at the homestead. We were able to leave the kids with my sister and her husband, thanks guys for taking them last minute, and we headed up the canyon Sunday morning. Saturday night we went out with some of my friends from work at keys on main and had WAY too much fun so Chris was not feeling the best on the drive up there but we made it. I was so glad he was driving because the ride up there was beautiful! The fall colors were amazing! The bright pinks, the deep reds, the golden yellows it was so fun to look at all the colors but of course my camera once again proves how horrible it is.... it nowhere near gave the colors justice!
Once we arrived in Midway at the homestead we weren't able to check in till 4, four o’clock! We were there at like 1! So there wasn't really anything we could do because someone didn't make a plan or reservations, so we ended up golfing.... yes golfing on my anniversary. I was semi okay with this because I was still feeling guilty for throwing such a fit about not having a plan, and there really wasn't anything else we could do. We only played 9 holes and then it was check in time.

Us in the golf cart

Chris got this little suite for us and it included dinner and breakfast! So once we checked in we were starving! We headed off to dinner. We spent the night hanging in the pool and hot tubs, then we went to the room watched TV and ordered room service. It was such a fun and relaxing night away! Although we missed our kids it was nice to get away and not be responsible for anyone.
A picture of our cute little suite! It looked like a little house from the outside.

Anyway after all is said and done, the last 2 years have been amazing. I love my husband a lot "most days" but really I can't wait for many more years together!

YELLOWSTONE

At the end of August we decided to go on our first road trip in the motorhome! We had planned a mini-vacation to Yellowstone! I had never been and I love the idea of Yellowstone so I was super excited! ! ! I wanted to see a bear, up close, well not too close but I was so excited to see a bear! I LOVE black bears. I think they are so cute and my kitchen is decorated with them because I love the looks of them so much! Coming along with us on our road trip was Chris’ dad Richard, Chris’ little sister Melissa and her boyfriend Trevin.
We stayed in a RV park right outside of west Yellowstone the first night and it was really pretty! We got there close to dark and didn’t have much time before bed but we were excited to be there and ready for the next day! The next day we pretty much crammed everything cool about Yellowstone in one day! We seen old faithful, all the geysers, and a lot of buffalo/bison, not sure what the difference is, and had a complete blast in the motorhome with everyone! It was so nice to have these HUGE windows to look out and be taller than cars and other vehicles.
We decided to take our kids with us and I’m so happy we did! They had such a fun time! Brody would make these awful sounds when he would see the buffalo on the side of the road and all he really wanted to do was run out in the fields with them and chase them around! Tink loved to just be there. She is so calm in the motorhome and as long as someone was scratching her or paying some sort of attention to her she was happy! We were able to take the dogs on a lot of the trails but some they had to hang back in the motorhome. It was nice to be able to leave them in there. just turn the a/c on and made sure they had water and food and they were good!
One of the places we weren’t able to take them was on Uncle’s Tom’s Trail. This is a trail that takes you down 300 plus stairs straight down the mountain to the lower falls of Yellowstone! This trail is HATEFUL! I thought I was in okay shape but this trail made me think otherwise. On the way down I knew it was going to be tough back up but I thought I would do okay.. I … WAS… WRONG! I literally thought I wasn’t going to make it back to the top! These stairs never ended! When I thought I was getting to the top more stairs would still be there! it was awful! I am so happy we did that trail though because it was good to get out a hike and it really did feel good once I reached the top… and it really motivated me to work harder when I work out! to truly push myself!
The next day we took it easy and drove alot more than walking. we were all tired and beat from the stairs. All in all it was a great trip and I’m so happy we went… even though I never saw a bear… maybe another time.

the buffalo right in front of us! they refused to get out of the road

before Uncle Tom's trail, I looked so happy!

The stairs going back up the trail! UGH! so many and they were STRAIGHT UP!

My family! didn't the dogs pose soooo cute! we are such a cute little family!

and last but not least.... OLD FAITHFUL...

Birthdays and Summer Fun

My mom with her mom on her 80th birthday!

My Grandma’s 80th birthday/family reunion was on July 24th. It was a hot day but filled with fun. We went to a park where we had great food and good entertainment! We played minute to win it games which were hilarious!

trying to get the cookie from your forhead to your mouth using only your face muscles!

I can’t believe she is 80! Then the next weekend we celebrated my mom’s 50th birthday! This party was at our house and it was a true success! Most 50th birthday parties are focused on being old with black balloons and such. We decided to do something way better than make her feel old! We invited family and a few friends and on the invitations we put, Jenene’s turning 50 but lets not dwell on numbers and balloons that are black, instead we will celebrate by bringing childhood back! We had pictures of her famous hotties from back in the day, pictures of her when she was a teenager, and of course Charlie’s angels, posted around the yard, had old school games to play and princess décor everywhere! We had oldies music playing and they all had a blast from the past. We play pin the tail on the donkey and potatoes sack races! It’s amazing what old people will do after a few glasses of sangria! Pictures to come later!

July came and went WAY too fast and here it is almost the end of August! We have been enjoying summer and I really don’t want it to end!

Chris skiing!

We have had a lot of fun on the boat and I even went to the Zoo with Jax and my sister. Baby Zuri is the cutest little elephant ever! Everyone should go see her and her cute tricks!

I told Jax to smile and he smiled at the giraffes! such a kid!

Baby Zuri sitting in a tire!
Chris’ work is finally slowing down and that is a good thing but also sucks! it’s nice for him to have a break from being so busy but it defiantly sucks because that is the first sign of summer being overboo! Since he can finally take a break or have some time off of work we are planning a trip to Yellowstone! I am really excited because I have never been there and I am ready for a little break from work myself! It’s going to be fun to take a road trip in the motorhome and hopefully it will be the first of many road trips! We are still deciding on whether or not to take our kids just because of the bad experiences we had the last camping trip, plus there are bears in Yellowstone and they both are so friendly I don’t want them to get ate by a bear! We have been waxing the motorhome after work at night and it has been surprising fun! I love spending time outside in the warm summer air and doing projects together! It is starting to look really shinning and we get to watch the sun set every night! Sun sets are so pretty but they have made me really aware of how sucky my camera really is! Maybe for Christmas Santa will bring me a new one!

When it rains..... IT POURS!

This weekend had good things but a lot of the weekend was filled with accidents; one thing after another! The weather for once was amazing on a holiday weekend. The lake was not as full of boats as I thought it would be and we were able to have good tube rides, ski rides, and surfing!
We were able to head out Friday morning and after stopping for gas, ice and last minute groceries made it to camp around 12 or 1. Since it was just Chris and I with my cousin and her family we headed out on their boat until our friends showed up. The water was nice and warm and the sun was hot and bright! We took the girls on a tube ride and Chris and Abe were able to tube. We got back to camp just in time for Broc and Breille to get there. While we were showing them how to turn the couch into their bed, Brody decided to be curious and stick his head in the couch… we didn’t notice till it was too late! He accidentally got his head smashed in the couch. Poor little guy! He was fine, and more scared than hurt. This was the first accident. Later we decided to make a quick trip on the water to watch the sun set, so Chris, Broc, Breille and I headed out. Chris was wearing Abe’s cowboy hat that he has had since he was about 11, he rodeo for years with this hat, got married in this hat and let’s just say the hat was irreplaceable. While heading back after sunset, there was a gust of wind and off came the hat! In the lake it went! It was completely dark and we tried so hard to find the hat but after about 20 minutes of looking through black water… we had to give up. Chris was really upset to say the least and was terrified of how Abe would react once we got back to camp and told him. When we finally loaded the boat “in the dark” and got back to camp Abe and his family were asleep, so we couldn’t tell them tell morning. Chris was upset and wasn’t able to sleep that great that night. Then to end the night, Chris had just replaced some lock type things on the closet doors in the motorhome and I accidental broke one off… so that was the end of the first day… we should have packed up and tried again another day.
Saturday we woke up and met some of Breilles friends for a morning/noonish boat ride… on the way to find good water, a towel flew out of the boat and sunk so fast, another accident. Later that day came the worst accident.... we had taken brody and Tink with us on a short boat ride. On the way back to camp Chris and I were standing on the back of the truck and both kids were in the boat… somehow Tink fell/jumped from the boat. Chris jumped off the truck after her as I yelled to stop the truck! When I looked back I saw Tink rolling down the road. I thought for sure we had run her over with the boat trailer. Once the truck had stopped and I ran to Chris and Tink she was bleeding from the mouth and sitting on the road not walking… I was hysterical… this is as close to a kid as I may ever get… this is my baby! We were able to get her walking and took her to the bathrooms to clean her up. She missed the tires of the boat trailer by about 2 inches “no exaggeration” … she must have landed right on her face and her tooth was knocked lose which caused the blood. Amazingly she is fine! She is walking and running and dancing on her back legs like nothing is wrong… this dog has some pretty good angles watching over her! The next and last day at the lake we were ready for some good fun with no accidents… the water was glass so everyone wanted to ski. Broc was putting on the ski when the boot on the ski broke! We were done! After a couple good ski rides for Broc, Chris and Richard we decided to cut the trip short and head home on Sunday. Even though we planned to stay till Monday we had had enough and needed to leave before something worse might happen!
The weekend was good and we had a lot of fun and got a lot of sun! but Tink is no longer welcome on the boat and we are going to be fixing a lot before heading back out for boating/camping! Hopefully next trip will be less eventful! Happy 24th of July everyone! Hope yours was less tragic than mine!

JULY ALREADY?!

The Fourth of July was such a good time. I of course didn’t take any pictures so this is going to be a boring post but I still want to remember and look back on the things we did. We headed down to Lake Yuba Friday afternoon July 1st. We took the truck, 5th wheel, and the boat… we didn’t plan this but as we were getting all hitched up and ready to go I realized.. we are very patriotic people…Red boat, White trailer, Blue truck… as we headed down the freeway we were the RED, WHITE, and BLUE. It was very funny! We got to Yuba and got all set up, then our friends Broc and Breille showed up just in time to hit the water before it was too dark. They are such a fun couple to hang out with and we have a lot in common. It is fun to have a couple that are our age and no kids yet… that doesn’t happen a lot in UTAH. Most people our age have been married since they were 19 and have at least 1 or 2 kiddos, which I am not saying is a bad thing but it’s hard to find people that can do things with us without planning weeks in advance. Plus Breille and I have the same thoughts about water… we are good to be on the boat but don’t ask us to get in the water or do anything else in the water. Hanging out with everyone for the weekend was so fun. We had quite a few people camping with us and it was a blast! The water and weather were definitely a lot warmer then when we were there for Memorial Day. The wind wasn’t bad this weekend either! We had a lot of fun on the boat with the tube and surfing and even skiing… this was the first boat trip that had good enough water for Chris to finally break out the ski. This boating season hasn’t been the best as far as water goes… it seems like every time we go out the water is too rough to ski on so the boys end up tubing the whole time. They did have a lot of fun on the tube and once I figure out how to post video I have to post Broc and Chris wrecking on the tube! It was so funny and I laugh so hard every time I watch it! They fly off and skip across the water as they both scream like little girls!
We stayed in Yuba till Monday the 4th and I missed Jaxson’s birthday again. Jill was down at my parents’ house and they had a small party for him there. I still can’t believe he is 3! The years have gone by WAY TOO FAST! I am waiting to be an aunt again and I’m hoping it is soon, whether it is my lil sis Ashton or big sis Jill, someone needs to have a baby! And we all know it’s not going to be me! I want to hold a baby and smell baby, but hand it back when it cries or needs to be changed

this is the best picture i could get of Jaxson, he sees me with the camera and runs. he is such a punk but he it soooo big! The first picture was 3 years ago! wow what time can do!
After the Yuba trip and pulling doubles Chris has decided that he is down pulling doubles… I can’t say I blame him, specially trying to drive through all the construction on the freeways! So last week Chris went to an auction and found an AMAZING motorhome for and AMAZING deal… for the past week we have been weighing the pros and cons of a motorhome vs. 5th wheel… because the motorhome is such a great deal we think we will do it! Hopefully we will like having the motorhome. It is pretty nice inside and has 2 slides so it is very spacious. I will have to take pictures and post. But it will be sad to see the Zinger go… we had a lot of good times in this trailer. I will never forget the 1st time we took it camping… Utah lake… so fun and so many memories!

good bye Zinger, you will be missed! I loved the floor plan of this trailer and really hope the motorhome can compare.
We are in the middle of July and I am not ready for the summer nights to be done! I love sitting outside after work with husband and just enjoying the warm weather… we should really do yard work instead of sit but what fun it that! This weekend is my grandma’s 80th birthday! There is no way this woman is 80! She is such an amazing person and the best grandma ever! We will be celebrating her birthday at the park on Sunday. Then next weekend is the 24th of July and we will be heading to Utah Lake for the 1st camping trip in the motorhome. I hope it is fun and the weather will be nice! The next weekend is my mom’s 50th birthday! I can’t wait for this party! I just wish my back yard would weed itself so that it is presentable for this party!

My Child and the weekend

don't I have the cutest kid! This weekend was filled with fun times. Friday night I played Bunko and had such a good time with the girls! I even won for having the most Bunko's! yea me! Saturday me and my sister hung out during the day and then went to dinner. While at dinner, Chris was hangin at the shop with the other husbands and this was the picture I got sent... he is such a kid! they were racing each other on little pocket bikes! silly boys! but at least they were having fun. We decided to go boating on Sunday and it was suppose to be really nice weather! we got there and the water was full of white caps! it was so scary! we went really slow across the water and even though we were going slow the boat would crash again the waves and send a giant wall of water over the boat and all of us would get soaked! i don't think i have gotten that wet while staying in the boat! the boys were able to get on the tube and get tossed off a couple of times but it was hard on the boat! everytime the tube would be on track to hit a massive wave i would have to slow the boat down and they would just glide over the top of wave! hopefully this weekend will be full of fun, warm weather and water, and not alot of boats to create boat waves on the water.

Where to start.....

This weather has been absolutely amazing! Nothing too exciting has been happening other than the Dallas Mavericks beating the Miami Heat in the NBA championships! That was the best! I loved that the CRY baby heat didn’t win! It happened on a Sunday night so we couldn’t celebrate too much because we had work the next day but husband was so happy that the heat didn’t win and that makes me happy cuz I didn’t have to deal with his grumpy ass! June is almost over and it has been pretty busy. My little sister came up one of these past weekends and we had a BBQ and had a blast enjoying the nice weather! We were able to have people over and sit by the campfire and listen to tunes, camping in the back yard! So fun! Ashton liked taking pictures and I really need to be better at taking pictures..

This last weekend we went to our friend Trevor’s birthday party! It was really fun and they had a great turn out! lots of people were there and they had a KEG! It was pretty entertaining being sober and watching how silly people are when they drink too much! I would say it was a successful party because I guess after we left the cops showed up! you know you threw one hell of a party when you have a Keg and the cops there!
The next week nothing too exciting is happening, playing bunko on Friday and then boating on Sunday! the weather should be impeccable ! Saturday night is still in the air on what we are going to do… then next weekend is the 4th of July weekend! I can’t believe how fast the summer months go! It SUCKS! Jaxson will be 3 on the 1st of July and he is getting so big! We plan to head down to Lake Yuba again for the 4th weekend so hopefully the water and weather will be a lot warmer than it was over memorial.. ..and hopefully I will take cute pictures! I need to quit talking about pictures and just take some already! ! The only other thing really to blog about is my new obsession with THE HUNGER GAMES!!!It has been quite awhile since I have not been able to put a book down so when I found this book I wasn’t expecting anything great…. last night I couldn’t put it down! There were parts where I wanted to cry and then laugh and then punch something! I LOVE THIS BOOK!! I read pretty much the whole night from the time I got home from work to the time I went to bed, beside a small break to cook and eat dinner! I am almost finished with the first book and can’t wait to start on the second!

Memorial Weekend/Summer!

Summer is officially here… I think; can’t really be too sure because after all we are in Utah.
Memorial weekend was such a fun weekend! After a kind of rough start, “we had to replace axels and tires on the trailer before we left,” we made it there! We all had such a good time and the weather was WAY better than we had expected! The nights were a little cold and windy and the water was WAY too cold to swim and play in but we had fun fishing, hanging on the boat and just being away from home! Trevor and Ashley were a lot of fun to hang out with and I am really happy they came with us! We got there late Friday night and played Taboo in the trailer because it was windy and we couldn’t start a fire, then Saturday we headed out on the boat did some fishing, and the brave boys went on the tube for a little bit. I forgot to pack Chris’ swim shorts so he wore his pj pants on the tube and it was pretty hilarious! Saturday night was again pretty windy so we had a movie night in the trailer. At Yuba they have power and water hook ups so we didn’t have to worry about the noisy generator while watching the movie! It was quite and so nice not to have to go out in the wind and turn it on and off! Sunday came and the weather was not looking good, we took the boat out for a bit and it was so windy and cold we decided to come back and hang at camp. We played newlywed game that night and Trevor and Ashley kicked all our butts and won the game! Monday we woke up and headed home trying to beat traffic! It turned out to be a great weekend!

This last weekend we took the boat out to Utah Lake….. the weather was amazing! It was so hot and no wind! We went with our friends Broc and Breiel who brought their puppies and had a great day! I tried to take some cute pictures of their little family, they were all out on the tube, it was so cute but it was so bright I couldn’t really see how the pictures turned out… wish they were a little better but they are still really cute! I love that it is June, and in the pictures you can still see so much snow is on the mountains!

I love summer time and I love that it stays light till so late! There are tons of things to look forward to this summer, June is here and I’m sure we will be to the lake a lot of the weekends, and then in July we have Jaxson’s 3rd birthday, my dad’d birthday and my mom’s 50th birthday! We are doing a party for my mom’s birthday and it is going to be EPIC!! “sssshhhh it’s a secrete” July and August will include more camping/boating trips probably to Yuba, maybe to the gorge?? And then in September it is our 2 year anniversary! I am trying to plan something really fun and memorable… any ideas let me know! we can’t really take a lot of time off work to go anywhere because Chris is super busy in September and the RV Show is the week before our anniversary so he will be super busy wrapping that up!

4 day weekend! !

I’m getting pretty excited for this weekend! 4 days off of work! we are heading down to Lake Yuba for the weekend with Cory and Abe and their kids and our friends Trevor and Ashley are going to come with us too! It is going to be really fun or at least we are going to try and make it be really fun! the weather of course will probably not cooperate because after all… it is a holiday weekend and we want nice weather so more than likely it will rain.. I don’t care though.. I’m going to make it fun no matter what the weather has in store! We have trailers that we can hang in and watch movies or play cards and games… I am going to make the best of it… plus fishing in the rain is the best! I hope to remember to take lots of fun pictures so I can post later!

Gaga/Easter/Chris’ B-day/ Summer!!

Lately there has been a lot on my mind but I can’t ever seem to write it down! Lots has happened since I blogged last time but I am so bad at remembering to take pictures that I haven’t wanted to blog.
The Gaga concert came and went and it was probably one of the best concerts I have ever seen and the next time she come to Utah or close to Utah my sister’s and I have already decided we are going to spend more money for good tickets and see her show again! It was such a fun night with my sisters; we went to dinner and then the concert and then stayed at the Hilton hotel that night!

Then came Chris’ birthday and Easter! For the past… 3 years maybe, we have camped with my cousins “Cory and Abe” and my sister “Jill and Dust and Jax” out at five mile pass for Easter. We have such a fun time every year even though the last couple years have been freezing! This year Easter was so late that we were hoping for better weather. We always send the boys out Thursday night and they get everything set up and have “guy time” before us girls and the kids come out on Friday. Friday was Chris’ Birthday he is the big 24 now… he is growing up so fast, ha ha… not really, but anyway when I got out there I gave him his b-day present which he thought was hilarious “again bad at taking a picture and words just can’t describe his present” and then we had oreo cake “his favorite” The weather was so nice on Friday afternoon, we went on four wheeler rides, played horse shoes and just hung out in the sun! Then Chris got a call and he had to go into work on Saturday “LAME” he wasn’t very happy but ended up only working for about 4 hours and then it was back to camping! The Easter bunny came Saturday night and hid eggs and threw candy all over the camp ground! The kids had a blast! Of course my kids loved to find the candy on the ground that everyone else’s kids missed.
playing horse shoes and Tink soakin in the sun on the 4-wheeler!

April is over and I hope it took the snow and crappy weather with it! May is here and there are so many fun things to look forward to! This weekend is Mother’s day and instead of taking the weekend and going shopping in Park City we are going to be money smart and just go hang out at my mom’s house. It is always relaxing and a nice mini-vacation at Mom’s. Then we have a wedding reception the next weekend, then a free weekend “so far” and the next weekend is Memorial Day so we are going camping/boating at Yuba Lake. This will be the kickoff to summer and boating season! I am really hoping the weather is going to be nice for boating! Summer is almost here and that means every weekend is going to be booked! I love it but it goes by way too fast!
I LOVE this picture... I always see pictures of "dads holding their babies while they are fast asleep" well since this is our baby this is my picture... they were both sleeping so hard! Brody was snuggled right up! it was cute!

Compromise

When you are married you often come to points where someone wants to do something or whats something that the other doesn't. Compromise is very important in marraige. You sometimes do things you don't really want to do to make the other person happy and in turn they do the same. you some times watch what they want or take turns picking what you do or where to eat ... But what happens when one really really really wants something and the other doesn't... do you make one deal with what you want or do you compromise what you want to make the other person happy... alot on my mind today about compromising and what is important...

Other things on my mind today is GAGA is on Saturday! I can't wait for this week to be over because it has been 1 LOOOOONG week! Parents are coming up this weekend and also going to hang with sisters! I love being with my sisters more than anything. We always have good talks and the best times! Hopefully they will have some input about my compromising situation...

This year when we heard Lady Gaga was coming we knew we HAD to go! SO about 3 months ago we bought tickets and this weekend our t-shirts arrived we booked the hotel so we can a fun time at the concert and be able to go back to a hotel and be loud and keep the party going without bothering husbands or Jax... it is going to be such a fun night and I can't wait! She may be a FREAK but I am sure she is going to put on one hell of a show! ! ! 18 MORE DAYS! ! ! !

Stupid Jazz!

The Jazz played Chicago last night at home and kept us excited and into the game the whole time pretty much.... they were neck in neck the whole game till the last 3 or 4 minutes! Needless to say Chris and I were so exciting thinking they were going to win and show the wanna be Jazz team, Boozer, Korver, Brewer ect... that the Jazz are the best and don't try to be like them. The last 3 or 4 minutes the Jazz decided to be the Jazz and lose! it was awful! I blame the refs! So Chris is kinda emotional when the Jazz lose specially after such a close game and he kinda acts like a 3 year old so when the Jazz lost this is what the couch looked like....

Chris threw the remote so hard it actually imprinted into the couch! Its a game! teams win, teams lose, it is a GAME...I kinda makes me laugh that he throws tantrums like a little kid, but I can't let him see me laugh because that will make him even more mad... after he cooled down though we were able to joke about what a child he is... no need for kids quiet yet... still trying to raise my husband! ha ha ha:)

Mexico!

Our cruise has come and gone and while we had a blast I was ready to be home. The weather was nice but could have been ALOT warmer. We were only able to soak in the sun 1 day the whole trip, the other days we not very warm and they were windy. But anything warmer then 30 or 40 degree and I can't really complaine. Starting the trip we flew out of SLC at 7AM Friday morning. I'm not even up that early on a work day! It was fun to see Cory's face when we loaded the plane and took off... she is 30 something and has never been on an airplane! I wish there were words to discribe the look on her face as the poilot hit the jets and away we went! Once in California we rented and car and headed to Knottsberry's Farm for a fun day of being kids without having kids with us!

after a day at Knott's we headed to the hotel for a good nights rest. Saturday morning we boarded the ship! the weather was about 70 so it was really nice! we boarded and checked out the ship and our rooms and headed out to sea. Once off the coast the sea breeze was a little cold and we had to wear jackets if we were up on deck. The ship I think should have had an age warning "please board if above 50 years old" I swear we were the youngest 4 people on the ship! every where we looked we seen old people! Carnival ships are BY FAR more to our liking. Princess cruises are deffintanly more for the older folk! I'm not sure if my expectations were set too high or what but I was not impressed with Princess, the food was okay, the activites were okay, and the shows again were just okay... There was 1 night I think it was sunday night "i love that i lost track of what day it was" they had a party on the deck and that was alot of fun "with a jacket of course"
Our first stop was in Puerto Vallarta. The ship books excursions and had a zipline activity that looked really fun but it was 100 bucks per person, so Chris being the money smart guy he is, was able to track down a nice mexican guy that was able to score us 2 for 1 tickets to the zipline! it was such a fun experience to fly through the jungle on a line! it was a very fun time and i recommend it to anyone that is going there. The crew that goes with you makes it really fun and paints war paint on your face! we went through the jungle where they filmed PREDATOR.

this was us with our war paint all ready to fly!
then it was off to Matzalan or so we thought... apparently people were getting shot there so they cancled that stop and we headed to Cabo San Lucus a day early!
Cabo was my favorite stop i think! we spent the most time at this place. We were able to hop aboard a double decker booze cruise for the day! it was 4 hours of whale watching, snorkling, a stop at lovers beach, lunch and can you imagine AN OPEN BAR! all this for 30 bucks a person!

then it was off to Ensenada where we seen a blow hole like on the movie fools gold! everytime the tide came in water would shoot out of this rock, it was pretty cool and i will post more pictures later! this post is already getting long. then back to sea for 2 days. and home again! I'm glad to be home and glad to be back at work. I missed my bed and my dogs and my house and my friends! it was a fun trip and I am sure i will be ready soon for another vacation but right now I am happy to be back in the same routine!
